Great news for Amiibo and Splatoon 2 fans, new Pearl and Marina Amiibo’s are coming soon to the game! The pair will join Splatoon 2’s existing list of Amiibo figures soon, Nintendo has announced. In addition, the Pearl and Marina Amiibo will be joined by a new weapon and map. No details have yet been released regarding the abilities or release date of the Splatfest hosts Splatoon 2 Amiibos.
Splatoon 2 Gets New Pearl and Marina Amiibo
Splatoon 2 players will know Pearl and Marina well. The pair joined Splatoon 2 when the game launched last year. Pearl and Marina are a Pop double act that features in Splatoon 2’s in-game entertainment. In addition, the duo also hosts the games’ multiplayer mode. Consequently, Pearl and Marina are getting official recognition with their very own Amiibo.
The announcement of the two upcoming Amiibo’s was made at the end of the Splatoon Koshien 2018 tournament recently.
In addition to revealing the two new Amiibo, Nintendo also released a Pearl and Marina Amiibo trailer. The teaser video shows of the two popular Splatoon 2 characters. In the clip Pearl and Marina reveling in the attention from Inkopolis square. Check it out below.
The Pearl and Marina Amiibo will come as a double pack that will retail for $24.99. No release date has been announced as of yet. No doubt Amiibo fans will be eager to get their hands on these two.
As of yet, there are no details on the duo’s capabilities and unlocks in the game are also unknown. However, the new Amiibo do look great. The should become a popular choice whenever they do launch.
As mentioned above, the new Pearl and Marina Amiibo will be joined by a new weapon and map too. The new map coming into the game will be the Goby Arena.
Meanwhile Dark Tetra Dualies will also be added to Splatoon 2. These will allow you to roll and shoot at the same time. In addition, you’ll also be able to do four consecutive dodge rolls when the update arrives.
